A day trip not to be missed, the total distance is about a hour for one way, start from Brisbane.
- the first stop is Samford Village, watching the car show. (The monthly events)
- located at 19 Main St, Samford Village QLD 4520
- then pass through Old Petrie Town (Markets Event, Museums, groups, Photography),
- located at 901 Dayboro Road, Whiteside QLD 4503
- and finally arrive at Pine River Dam
- located at 46/48 Vores Rd, Whiteside QLD 4503
Before entering the center of the village, you will pass an old train carriage which stopped me for photography.
Samford village
Attend the car show at Cars Coffees Samford, it’s a monthly event, it’s held in different locations, great place to go It’s a great place for car lovers and car photographers (like me).
What a beautiful day and such cool car. People are so kind; someone opened the car window for me to take a picture. Could I show you my happy face, Hehe.
People enjoyed catch, coffee, even just hold coffee look around, I am so happy with the photos which I took. and enjoying this moment.
The Old Petrie Town
- There are still hand-drawed map, which are very artistic.
- When we arrived, we are luck to see relatives getting married, and two antique cars drove to the door to greet them, an interesting license plates you can see.
- There are many specialty shops on the street, the Lollie’s shop which I like & kids never say “no”(^-^) but unfortunately, it closed when we finish lunch, so go early please, shops are usually closes around 3 pm, except on weekends.
- Cup of old house still there.
- And last photo is photography studio.
- The old fire museum
- Also have another new museum near the car park (you can view begin or at the end)
The farm Inside at the end, if you’re lucky you can see horses.
Pine River Dam
Drive to the opposite side of the river to watch the sunset.
which is so beautiful.
